  1. Hi All,

Recently, I have been approached by a friend, who is doing
Multi-Level-Marketing, and is trying to sell me some Spirulina (Blue
    Green Algae) Tablets.

    I am just curious:

    1. Is Spirulina really good for human body? I have tried taking Green
Algae few years back, and I don't feel there is any special effect.
Now it comes back as a 'Blue' Green Algae, and claim to be much
    better.

    2. What is a resonable price for Spirulina?

    3. I can find many Spirulina out there in local store, but my friend
said that they are not good to consume, because Spirulina is very
difficult to growth. If it is not grown in a well controlled
environment, it will be dangerous to human body.

    Thanks in advance.

Cell Tech Super Blue green algae is a perfect food. It is more complete than
Spirulina. I do not sell SBGA but used it before I discovered my ginseng.

So what is it, Spammin' Dave? Are you an incredible liar or
    incredibly stupid?

If you go to the Cell Tech web site, you can read the nutrition label
for their algae -- the exact label that goes on the side of the
bottle. The label shows quite clearly that SBGA is not a "perfect
food". It contains very little (less than 2% of RDA) of most
nutrients, though it has a fair amount of a couple of them.

Well, this is really concerning me. Cause there are just too many
heltcare products and too many marketing these days. I can't even tell
if Spirulina is consider a Food or Drug.

Is there any independent body / website which do review on all these
    products?

    Thanks and regards

Blue-green algae is not the same thing, but it shouldn't make all that

Shop around on the web. You're sure to find plenty of it.

I doubt that it'll be harmful, especially in the recommended doses.
It just won't be very helpful.

As far as I know, there are not 79 known nutrients needed by the human
    body. The Cell Tech nutrition label does not list 79 ingredients;
it's more like 55, and some of those (e.g. titanium) have no known use
in the human body, some are toxic (e.g. germanium), and there are also
a bunch of non-essential amino acids.

In any case, the proportions you need in food do not match the
proportions in the human body, because of differences in retention and
    uptake.

So you're a liar again, Spammin' Dave. Perhaps I'll start calling you
Simba, since you seem to be the Lyin' King.

This is not true, or even possible. Different types of cells require
different nutrients in different "proportions," depending on their
functions. Besides, pond scum does not contain sufficient QUANTITY of
nutrients to be considered an important food source. It does not contain ANY
nutrients that are not available in ordinary super-market foods at far more
    affordable prices.

Let me help your comprhension a bit here......

Minerals should come from food whenever possible - as they once did! The
wide variety of bulk and rare trace minerals in Aphanizomenon flos-aquae

Spirulina, blue-green algea, not much difference. Everyone is
different. For me, I have to be careful how much I take because it
can give me more energy than I can handle. I think that they are both
great. However, people more solidly slammed into their physical
bodies than I, i.e. most people, may not be able to feel the extra
energy. Like I said, everyone is different.

MLMs are pure [censored]. Because of the multiple levels, greed and
deception becomes compounded. You can get spirulina for a terrific
price, along with a lot of other supplements, at:

Their blurbs are also very educational.

Blue-green algae is not the same thing, but it shouldn't make all that
    much difference.

Shop around on the web. You're sure to find plenty of it.

I doubt that it'll be harmful, especially in the recommended doses.
It just won't be very helpful.

Please bear in mind that this man is a failed computer technician
whose "job" is as a Quackwatch clerk who is paid to tell you not to
    take anything natural. Period.

Up yours, Spammin' Dave. I see you've now spiraled down into the
JanDrew/Ilena swamp of accusing people of being lackeys of
Quackwatch. I have no affiliation with them.

I'm also not a computer technician and I'm certainly not a failed
anything. You, on the other hand, are a sleazeball spammer who would
walk over his mother to sell another tin of his overpriced ginseng.

If you were any sort of success, you wouldn't be here with your hatful
of ignorance and your crummy sales pitch.

Cell Tech Alpha Sun & Omega Sun contains all 79 nutrients required to
grow perfectly healthy cells in exactly the same proportion as our cell
    makeup.

As far as I know, there are not 79 known nutrients needed by the human
    body. The Cell Tech nutrition label does not list 79 ingredients;
it's more like 55, and some of those (e.g. titanium) have no known use
in the human body, some are toxic (e.g. germanium), and there are also
a bunch of non-essential amino acids.

This is an example of total ignorance of natural things. This guy is a
danger to people. What I said is true.

What you said is an obvious lie -- anyone who can count can see how
many ingredients are on the label of the SBGA.

As for the rest of it, if I'm lying, you tell me what titanium is used
for in the human body. Germanium also -- and I want legit references,
not spam from other web sites. I won't hold my breath.

In any case, the proportions you need in food do not match the
proportions in the human body, because of differences in retention and
    uptake.

So you're a liar again, Spammin' Dave. Perhaps I'll start calling you
Simba, since you seem to be the Lyin' King.

My responses to you have been negative, but that is because you are a
lying, spamming scumbag. I do say constructive things -- for example,
I warn people about how overpriced your ginseng is. You don't like it
    when I do that. Good.

Hahahaha. The idea that you *have* any credibility is extremely
    comical at this point.

My information comes straight off the Cell Tech web site. You can't
handle that. I am not ignoring the person who asked for help, and
I've given him far more information than you and your [censored] have
    ever done.

Let me help your comprhension a bit here......

Sorry, Spammin' Dave, but quoting from a sales pitch on their web site
does not constitute impartial evidence. It also does nothing to
bolster your nonsensical claims that there are 79 essential
ingredients in SBGA, since your list doesn't include 79 items, and
some of the items on it are duplicates. You can't even count. I hope
your downline is ripping you off -- you'll never catch them.

The list has already been ripped to shreds the earlier times you
posted it, but I thought I'd add a few more observations:

    Quoted message said:

BETACAROTENE: Improves vision, protects the cornea, helps digestion,
defends against free radical attack, boosts the immune system

May increase the risk of cancer in smokers.

    Quoted message said:

CHLOROPHYLL: Promotes bowel regularity, cleanses interstitial tissues

    Ha.

    Quoted message said:

    FIBER: Eliminates toxic wastes

Not enough fiber in 4 capsules to be worth mentioning.

    Quoted message said:

FLUORINE: Fights tooth decay, hardens bone

Uh-oh! Anti-Fluoride advocates, to your posts!

    Quoted message said:

    GLYCOGEN: Increases physical stamina

Your body can make all the glycogen it needs (and does).

    Quoted message said:

IRON: Combats fatigue, lessens depression, decreases anemia

Supplemental iron should be avoided by males.

    Quoted message said:

PHENYLALANINE: Increases mental alertness, reduces sugar cravings

Phenylalanine is dangerous to people with an inherited metabolic
defect called pheylketonuria. Thanks for pointing out this
ingredient; people with that disease should obviously avoid SGBA.

    Quoted message said:

    RNA: Enhances "mind-brain" function

Hahaha. Where *do* they get this stuff?

    Quoted message said:

SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE (SOD): Defends against free radical attack

    Not when ingested.

And of course, we've ignored the fact that most of these items are
present in such minute amounts that they will make no difference to
    your nutrition anyway.
