  1. Hi
The other day I went to the dentist for a check up - everything is fine,
although he recommended that I have a tartar clean
(i.e. removal the tartar from the front teeth)
I asked him what causes it and he said that the front teeth are exposed to
more saliva, and thus are prone to lime build ups.
This got me wondering, is there any evidence that the tartar build up is
actually damaging to the teeth I mean what's the point of removing it -
might removing it be causing damage?
    Thanks
    Anth
