Actually I have no idea if I do or not though I am a candidate for
them and have some of the symptoms. Shouldn't hurt to try a cleanse.

Which parasite? And how do you know you have them?
And if you have fallen for the ads that claim that a good
intestinal cleanse fill fix whatever is wrong with you ... they
don't work as claimed.Eat better, get enough sleep, and get moderate exercise. If you
don'tstart feeling better in a couple of weeks, see a doctor -
this could be something subtle like early diabetes, thyrpoid
problems, or anemic due to any numbre of cuases.Tsu
Thanks Tsu
I started with going to a doctor. He said I was in great health except
for a massive sinus infection which he tried to "nuke" with a massive
dose of antibiotics.Anyway, I wouldn't expect a parasite cleanse to cure me of anything
but it seems like it wouldn't hurt to get any of those things out if
there are any.
"Alternative" medical parasites are mythical beasts. They are "just
pretend" parasites..
If they were real it would be very important to find out what kind they
were, and where you got them. It would have critical personal and public
health implications if you happened to have one of the exotic parasites that
Hulda Clark and others talk about, or ones that can be transmitted to
mankind by farm or domestic animals. It might be important to treat the
whole family so that you are not being reinfected. It would be better to
use a proven effective antihelminthic drug, rather than "cleanses" that
would do nothing but make you feel you are "doing something", and herbs of
variable potency and weak antiparasitic actions, if any..
The non-reality of alt.med parasites is illustrated by such illogical
handling of the supposed problem. It is all designed to get you to buy
stuff.

Someone suggested a while back a 'cleanse' for stones, but I couldn't get
hold of some of the ingredients, to see actually what came out.

There probably aren't. Parasite infections in the US are quite rare.
Have you been out of the country any time recently? A former
girlfriend of mine did pick up a parasite infection in Barbados quite
a few years ago. (I was just there recently and didn't pick up
anything except quite a few rum punches.)
Next question: how do you know the cleanse will kill parasites?
Which ones? And what about all the other ones you could have?
The remaining question is: can the cleanse hurt you? Sure, why not?
Anything powerful enough to kill parasites is going to have the
potential for side-effects. Unless you have some sort of convincing
evidence that you do have parasites, there's no sense in doing the
cleanse.

Yes. One of the most reprehensible kind. Living off the trust and innocence
of mankind.

I don't think that was intended, but it's not
an unreasonable conclusion either.

WRONG!!
They are only rare in conventional medicine because they don't look for them.

Quoted message said:Next question: how do you know the cleanse will kill parasites?
See an alternative practitioner.
Quoted message said:Which ones? And what about all the other ones you could have?
Doesn't matter, the clease will kill all of them.
Quoted message said:The remaining question is: can the cleanse hurt you?
Nope, they will help you, it's the parasites that will hurt you.
Quoted message said:Sure, why not?
Anything powerful enough to kill parasites is going to have the
potential for side-effects.
The side effect is geting rid of them and sure this will upset the body for a
while, but not nearly as bad as leaving them in.

WRONG!

AHAH! Try the low-cost fix for that post-antibiotic intestinal
diusruption: yogurt. Eat a half-pint to a pint a day of the sort
made with live lactobacilli, with your meals and it sets things
to rights.

The ingredients of those cleanses are medically classed as
"purgatives" (extremely strong laxatives) ... taking them will
leave you dehydrated and feeling like roadkill.
In order to cause you problems, you would have to have a fairly
large load of pathogenic parasites (some are so often found in
healthy adults that they are considered "commensal" like the
eyelash mite, they aren't doing any detectable harm and we all
have them). And it takes more than a strong laxative to get rid
of them: Some species have HOOKS and hang on when the purging
starts, others hide out in the intestinal mucosa.

Yes, the worst kind of parasite, too. She's a liar, charlatan, and greedy.
She loves to profit off of the desperation and gullibility of the sick and
naive.
