OLN feed is 30+ seconds back

The French TV commentators must really be horrible for Phil and Paul to be an improvement. I would
think that in France the TV commentators would be more knowledgeable, non?

No, on the France 2/3 public network, the main commentator is a bumbling idiot whose always
misunderstanding the race and talking non stop and "building an event". It's too bad because he's
got Bernard Thevenet (75 and 77 winner next to him) and Jalaber on a motorbike.

wow, that's disappointing. From what I remember from the French commentators, they were on the ball
(albeit a little Franco-centric)....then again that was eight years ago. How long has the current
commentator been the main guy? Are they going to replace him?

The France Television main commentator is pretty lame, trying to build up the excitment when there's
nothing going on. Unfortunately, this year, there's so much excitement, that he's more annoying than
usual. I tried just watching the TV and listening to OLN, but even without the 30 second delay the
commercial pauses are just too often and too long. A good point of the France Television coverage is
that this year Jaja is a commentator (he's on a motorcycle at the head of the course). His knowledge
of the Tour, the climbs and the racers is worth the blathering of the other guy (Prudhomme).

The web coverage from TV2 (Danish) includes video stream, but the quality is of course not as good
as my tv reception of FR2/FR3. Plus, my Danish isn't quite yet good enough to catch everything they
say. Still, it's nice to be able to follow the Tour while at work.
