    FOOTNOTE :-
And that heavy metal happens to be lead for all the pedants.

Nobody is arguing against the verifiable removal of
identifiable toxins, and nobody is denying that there
    are toxic substances.

What we keep asking (with no substantive answer) is
what "toxins" are being removed by the "detoxification"
programs sold on, for instance, the sites Jan advertises
and whether there is any before-and-after verification
that these toxins are actually removed.

    [snip lying websites]

Now for a little rational thinking.

"The elaborate, manipulative hoax of "detoxification" is gaining ground.
Many people sincerely believe that their intestines, colon, and blood stream
are subject to "clogging" by undigested foods and poisons. Food faddists
seem to have a special fascination with bowels, colons, and body wastes.)

The supposed need to detox is promoted through extensive writings,
advertisements and door-to-door pitches. This usually involves fasting
several times a year for a few days while taking laxatives or diuretics to
    "clean out the system."

Any chance of detoxing this NG ?

  6. Agreed Detox exists.
Think of chelation and heavy metal poisoning.
Without the chelation you would truly suffer.

None of the above sites show in anyway whatsoever, that a person *needs*
detoxing by the way it is hawked by the salescritters. NONE. Not one
iota of information. Read the sites, not just post them.

Same here. This site shows that thee are toxic problems, but, does not
recommend purgative detoxing, or fasting, etc. Not one word.

    Neither does this site.

    And, neither does this site.

There is a lot of good inforation at these sites, but, they sure do not
support detoxing like the salesmen want to sell you.

(Could someone who Jan reads please re-post this message for her. I
would like a substantive response from her. )

I she doesn't have me kill-filed, so here is the repost.

Debbee seems to be on an extended hiatus. Jan is due for another vacation...

Oh, thought it was a hiatal hernia and a trip to the psyche ward.
