I'm borrowing a Cannondale R500 from a friend who left the country last week and didn't realize until I rode today that I have no idea how to shift the Shimano dual control levers. I feel really stupid. Can anyone help?

The little lever inside the main brake lever shifts to the smaller cogs/chainrings. Left operates the front shifting and right operates the rear. Swinging the whole lever to the inside moves back to the larger gears/chainrings.

Thanks! I hadn't figured out how to downshift. Now I've got it.
