I am building a fixed gear bike, and need to buy a chain tool. The
fixie I am building is going to have a 1/8" chain, but I want to get a
tool that will work on 1/8" AND 3/32" chains. What chain tools work on
multiple sizes? Do any? Should I just bike the bullet and buy a 1/8"
tool and a regular 3/32" tool? Is it really necessary? I am new to all
of this stuff... Thanks.

chain. Try the one you have (or, maybe you don't have one yet? if so,
get a Park). If by some odd chance it doesn't work, yell at me.--

Any chain-tool should work. Even the itty-bitty one on my crank-bros
multi-tool works fine. -

chain, which is probably the exception, fortunately it's the right size
out of the box and has a quick-link. -

Using 3/32 is a good idea because at some point
you'll want to change the gear and you can use
the old road stuff you already have._ Booker C. Bense
