With all the excitement I've been having following the Raamsters, I
almost forgot about the tdf, just around the corner. Time to get the US
Postal kit out? I just have to make this prediction, to get it on the
record. If Lance can't finish first, he won't finish. With that
    knowledge,
this one is really easy. There will be no 7th, he'll quit, just like he
    did
in his first tdf. Unlike Ja-Ja, he'll be back in Texas, before it even
ends. He will disappear off the face of map, until months later the
National Enquirer gets a shot of him in a smokey bar, with some [censored] on
    his
arm. It will be a rapid descent.

I have the impression that you don't like him.

That is the "discovery" kit [censored].

There's local guy in my area who rides a Trek with complete head to toe
Postal kit. I haven't seen him since the Discovery change. Being a real
    fan can be expensive.

No, I'm a big fan. I'm just looking at it from a Las Vegas eye.

It's not the expense - what is that to a dedicated fan? It's that Trek
hasn't shipped the new OCLVs with Discovery team paint jobs yet.
Surely you can't expect the guy to go out riding in full Discovery kit
on a Trek with a USPS paint job.

Think again. Trek has shipped us both 5.2 & 5.9s in the new Discovery Team
paint jobs. Very nice-looking bikes. Thankfully *way* nicer-looking than the
    jerseys.

Which is considerably uglier than USPS.

  7. My local Armstrong fan has everything US Postal and Trek OCLV plus the
Yellow Jersey (that seems a pretty good replica) ... That must be the
    Ultimate Fred kit.
