Since I've never bought a tv from a grocery store, no, I hadn't noticed.
But a barbecue cooks food which is sold at a grocery store. Seems
reasonable to me. Where did you buy your grill? A hardware store? A
department store? The grill looks and feels sturdy, I just wanted to
know if anyone had cooked on it, and had an opinion.

That should be your second clue.

No "Life @ Home" brand comes up with a search, that's your first clue.

Folks might be more helpful had you posted a link to the grill,
obviously you can't, because it's probably some cheapo generic
promotional grill that's sold under many various and sundry names...
probably made in Taiwan, with no replacement parts available and highly
unlikely comes with a meaningful warranty.

And with grills, like with most other appliances, price is a very good
indicator of quality and very useful for making comparisons. Again,
you neglect to indicate the price, probably too embarrassed.

I doubt you are seriously interested in purchasing any grill, not when
like a little boy with a penny in the candy store you are seeking
permission... a serious consumer would choose a grill from someplace
with a *selection* of recognizeable name grills and a real man would
not agonize over a friggin' no-name piece of [censored] promo grill from a
grocery store, who hasn't the balls to post the price because it's
likely seriously LOW... you obviously suffer from "CCBD" (Chronic Cheap
[censored] Disease)... with a moniker like "Scotty" (widdle scotty puppy)
you're very likely not old enough to operate a gas grill by yourself.

I bought mine from Sears and have hated it ever since. I didn't know what
to look out for and I burn everything, even though I have the burners set on
the lowest setting. You need to have a metal shield covering the source of
the flame. That way the meat can drip grease on the shield rather than on
the fire causing flare ups and burning your stuff. My daughter has one that
has a large shield (3 to 4 inches on each side of the flame (mine has only 1
inch on each side of the flame). She puts the meat on and goes back in 20
minutes, turns it and goes back in 20 and it is done. Mine will have it
burned if I am not watching it constantly. I have to put the meat on the
top rack if I don't want it burned, and it takes longer and doesn't have the
same \flavor as that done on the lower rack.
