Site for Shimano Tech info??

They still do. For instance, on the USA page, click on "Technical" on
the top menu:

and then "Technical Documents", you'll then be able to select the
component you're interested in.

This is actually an improvement; the USA web site didn't used to carry
any tech info, you needed to go to the European or Australian sites.

I've seen that, but it's all fairly new stuff. Shimano used to have at least
some manuals for their older gear.

If you click on English, the web site comes up in English. Just the
same, the exploded views are adequate in themselves without text if
you are interested in such drawings.

is there a search engine that will lay out all bicycle parts
hub/whathaveyou sites?
shimano visited last for a 570 deore hub spec nicely left the 570 box
in but without image recall with a new model in the pipe and the 570
backlog at reduced rates.
one would then expect finesse if not total deication.
