  1. Hey!
We really liked your Greek Barley salad. I paired it with a grilled
butterflied chicken. I had slathered the chicken with a mixture of Dijon
mustard, couple cloves of garlic, olive oil, savory, rosemary and thyme and
s&p and let it rest in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours before grilling.
Nice. Yesterday was our first hot day, so a simple meal without a lot of
cooked stuff was just right. Thanks again. Leftovers tonight, perfect.

<gasp!!!> It was spatchcocked and DON'T forget it, young lady. Mind
your words or else you'll be in danger of being drummed out of the
corps as soon as the Head Trollops Right Hand Man gets word of this.

    Sob. . .I know better. . .I didn't mean to. . .I just got so tired of
explaining the term around here that I guess I forgot I was talking to
    knowledgeable people. Pardon, Please?

    Oh, thank you, thank you!
No more spatchcocked chicken available for leftovers. :o{ The last of the
chickie made sandwiches for lunch. The temp is 102, humidity 11 percent. I
have thawed, thick pork chops and suitable rub available for the smoker, but
no inclination. The 102 wind is rocketing around at 35 mph and all I have
interest in is cold drinks--iced tea, pop, orange juice and refrigerated
water. The sky is heavily overcast, so the temperature isn't going down any
time soon. I have a couple of ciabatta thawed (good day to defrost the deep
freeze, I thought) maybe some egg salad or tuna salad around 10-11 p.m.
And maybe give some ice, chocolate, coffee and milk a whirl in the smoothie
    maker.

Oy vey! If I had those weather conditions here, I'd be spatchcocked
in a NY minute. The temperature here is currently 61 degrees, wind
17mph and 78% humidity (down from 91% a day or two ago).
