I work in Japan as an English teacher but this year I'm helping a special class do physics and chemistry presentations in English.
I have to give a demo presentation on June 30th and what better excuse to use my bicycle is there?
gears.
I could do a gear speed test. steady cadence measured by my POLAR 720.
Speed readings taken with the cateye.
record the data for each gear combination (manually as well as by the POLAR).
Enter data on excel and make some graphs.
Then bundle it all into a Powerpoint presentation.
Photos of equipment.
Movie clips of riding on stationary trainer/roller as well as gear changing, measuring devices etc.
It has to go for about 7 minutes.....
I will of course do as much as possible myself...
but...
I will also take data off ther net if I can find it and also would like any advice, ideas from you guys.....
The data may already be available (and I'll google it in a minute as well).
Appreciate your thoughts and advice if you have any .
I will also take the trainer and my training Fondriest into the physics lab and let the students test my data as well....(hands on).
Thanks for reading.
