  1. Had a few friday night shots of Smirnoff last night, and then added
an extra serving or two of almonds on top of it. Went slightly
overboard with the almonds (yeah, and with the vodka too, but it was
the weekend). However, I had some urges to eat candy and cake (probably
brought on by the vodka buzz), and I didn't, so I did OK I think.

Funny thing was, I went way overboard in my sleep. I dreamed I was
eating huge slabs of sourdough white bread drenched in butter. When I
woke up I was relieved all I had was almonds and vodka.

    Oh my gods!!!
That is one craving that I still get from time to time.

To hell with the sweets! I've been known to crave sourdough toast
drenched in butter so bad I could actually smell it!

I wonder what is up with that???

  6. I may go off the booze again if my weight loss doesn't continue...
I've slowed down a bit over the past three weeks in terms of weight
loss... however, I've also added nuts and fruit, so that might have
    done it too.

Went for an hour-and-ten-minute run today as penance for last night's
crimes. The weather was so lovely for it.

I once dreamed I ate fried chicken that had been coated with chocolate ice
cream, I woke up with a killer case of heartburn. I can't say I've actually
    craved that particular combo, though.

Can you explain it a bit more? Where is the humor part?

I guess it went over your head.

How do you know what's funny to me, Om? At the least, it might clue me in
on how clever you are or what you find funny 🙂

The latest I could fathom was "Oh, man, I pad me Omelet." So, you're a low
carb eating fat omelets? Makes some sort of weirdo sense 🙂

It went over my head too 🙁. I've looked at it and studied it and haven't
been able to figure it out (or even how to pronounce it) but didn't want to
    admit that I was clueless...sorry 🙁.

    🙂 !!!

Damn, given the amount of time I've been trying to figure out what that
means (reading and saying it), it seems I've been tricked into chanting!

We do. As is the chant:

    Oh-wah ta-jer kayam

Say it repeatedly, a little faster each time. You'll be One With
    Everything in no time!

Are you familiar with the Yoga meditation chant?

    Om Mani Padme Om?

I've had to do a lot of meditation and soul searching over time
to try to come to terms with how badly life sux sometimes, find
and develop a sense of peace with myself and my life to try to
"fix" things and be a happier person.

The change of the last "Om" to "Omelet" reflects my low-carb
    lifestyle.

It also changes something reverant to the irreverant by
changing that last "Om" into "Omelet".

    Okay?

Might not be humorous to some people, but the whole concept
of irreverence is funny to some.

    Just like Irony.

    Cheers!
