Thanks for asking.
Not so good :-( He has good days and bad days. Yesterday was bad. He
slept most of the day and is running a fever again, which kept him
pretty much unresponsive. He had been so upset and angry about the
horrible food they were giving him that they've decided to just let him
eat whatever he wants, unthickened, unpureed (but still cut up finely)
and not particularly geared toward being diabetic. He's not eating
enough to sustain himself ANYWAY and does not want a feeding tube. It's
been decided to give him hospice care, which is basically to make him as
comfortable as possible, treat him with antibiotics, if necessary, but
not to take him back to the hospital if anything worsens. It's very sad
to see him like this :-(
He DID like the chocolate I brought him earlier, though :-)

Im sorry to hear this. This is a difficult time for all cncerned-- one
that we all have to go thru, sooner or later. I dont know if this will
help you or not, but I got thru a lot of very bad days by reminding
myself, "This will be in the past, eventually---I will get rhtu this."
