They could save a lot of time compared having to change a flat, and the minimal extra weight would be more than offset by not having to carry all those spares.
Just wondering if anyone has tried them and how well they work?
I've used them. they have a green slime just like the ghosts in ghost busters. They work ok with small punctures, but they will not seal larger ones. Also, the green slime tends to clogue the valves.
They work pretty well for striaght-on punctions but if you have a tear or a wide puncture they dont work. Also be careful with your valve stem. Im not sure if its a common experience but on my mountain bike had the slime actually clog the valve stem when i was trying to pump up the tire and i had to drill out the clog with a drill bit to reopen the valve.
