Yah, but far as I've heard one was a clone of the other and thus sufficiently close in design that
it makes little or no difference. I wouldn't say a Giro was similar except in general layout.

When will you grace Denmark with a visit btw? Its 36 bloody Celcius in the sun here at 3 pm and its
expected to last all week. Can anyone guess who has a heap of work all week, so he can't go out and
enjoy it. Go on...take a wild guess. *sulk* ;-)

That is the point I make with the Bacchetta bike. Bacchetta is but the latest in a long line of
stick bikes.

I am still targeting late August or Early September. My Mother in law has recently had a stroke so
my plans are tenuous.

No, it's the UK which does that. 33 deg. C in London yesterday, and approximately twice the usual
number of people phoning in sick. Also the railway lines get bent out of shape, thereby causing
"travel chaos" (something at which BRITONS excel), added to the list including, but not limited to:

o leaves on the line o fish on the line[1] o the "wrong kind of snow" o famine, plague and
pestilence o or something

Bicycles not affected. Hurrah!

1 - comical reference to that time when the River Cherwell and the Oxford Canal conspired to put
Banbury station about five feet under water.

AFAIK the Orbit Crystal was a "snapshot" clone of the Speed Ross, ie the design was licenced to
Orbit, but Peter Ross *continued* to develop the Speed Ross. AFAIK the improvements did not feed
back to Orbit. (Sorry, I have no idea of the differences). And the last I heard (from Peter a long
time ago) Orbit never paid him for the licencing :-(
