Glove care question...

Read the label, mine are machine-washable at 40 C.

I wish I could... I have already washed the label clear....On one glove I cut the label off because
it flapped in the wind and annoyed me... I guess I screwed up eh?

If you ride a lot in wet conditions, get synthetic gloves (Clarino, Amara, etc.). These gloves are
even machine washable.

I have always washed my gloves with my other gear and they are no worse for wear, includes Pearl,
Pittards and Giordanas.

Soak them in cold (70 degree) water and Woolite for 30 minutes, hang to dry.

unfortunately cheaper gloves are out... I need the padding or Arthritis will stop me short...my
dam~ age and a couple pavement kisses have made it difficult.. I thought about using a thick cork
gasket material and not use gloves (just for training on rollers). that would not help when I ride
normally though.

Hand wash in warm water with soap or detergent when they start to stink.

Synthetic leather gloves can be machine washed. I wash mine every wearing and they last for years.
Real leather stiffens and cracks when washed, significantly shortening its life. I see no advantage
in real leather, so I don't buy it any more. Putting on dirty gloves is worse than dirty socks.

Yeah, that's what I do. Everybody in the family bikes, so we keep a drying rack next to the washer.

I leave them on and pretend I am washing my hands. I then rinse, stuff with newspapers and let them
dry away from any heat source.

Better yet, after a first wash as you said I pretend to be stupid, I turn them inside out and I wear
them after parity-exchange. Then, I wash them again. What a clean job!

That's because the natural oils are removed by detergents, which is why I use a mild soap (likwe
Woolite, or Ivory Snow). The oils from my hands replaces what little gets leached out.

I have a "cheap" pair of Nashbar "Retro" leather gloves that have lasted over a year.
