Backpacking stove?

The weight of the fuel wouldn't be a problem as you could just chop
down some as required. However, the stove itself is a tad heavy. I'd
wait for the inevitable Titanium version. . . .

Hmm. It'd be a bit heavy and bulky to carry too far, I'd have
thought; however it's probably more efficient than a lot of the
lighter weight ones sold in outdoor shops. Swings and wotnots, innit.

Must admit I wouldn't mind it, but I don't think I'd have advertised
it in quite the same section...

I have a similar stove in my sitting room. Very nice bit of kit, but
though it isn't big by solid fuel domestic stove standards it did take
two of us to carry it up the front path and even with 2 it was far from
easy going...

Not sure that you could rely on our ice axe to chop the wood though. You'd
probably have to carry a heavier axe.
