I need to figure out how to get enough energy to sustain me during a round of golf. Surprisingly it does take a lot of energy, walking an 18 hole course of 7200 yards (roughly 4 miles) with a heavy golf bag full of clubs, along with the actual swinging.
Normally, Gatorade and a couple Power Bars in addition to a high carb lunch would be sufficient. But I don't want to compromise the LC lifestyle to play. The effects of not properly "energizing" include feeling major hunger pangs, reduced energy and strength (especially on the back nine), and in extreme cases, minor delusion.
For those of you who actually play, what do you consume for energy before and during a round? What about fluid replenishment? Just water?
If you don't have enough energy for a round of golf, you should lay down and die already. Alternatively, you could always consider butching the hell up, Mattilda.

Thanks, Matt
Drink plenty of water. Take a bag of pig skins to munch on. I walk and carry my bag also and do not rely on drinking at the next tee box it is not enough. After playing in 105degree heat one afternoon and getting free ride to the club house from heat exhaustion I take a water bottle with me and fill it at each hole. But really how long does it take to play 18 holes. Get full at your regular meal then snack a bit on the course if you must. Personally I rarely eat when I am playing. If you are what you eat then I am fast, cheap and easy.

My bad experience was an all protein day with literally no carbs ... Any other suggestions?
Follow the directions for your program. There is not one single low carb program out there that has anyone going to no carbs. Going to zero carbs and feeling bad go together; funny thing that not one single plan does that.
Veggies. They are mandatory on most plans.
I also notice that this was your first posting on ASDLC. Did you just start your plan? Lots of folks feel a bit off for the first week or two so it sounds like normal detox reaction to me.
