  1. Do any of you runners drink a lot of milk? If so, what benefits are
    there? Pros or cons?

  2. None, milk sucks.

  3. There's a reason why we get weened off of mothers milk (at SOME of us
    do) and move onto beer.

Yep. I drink about a pint of full cream milk a day, with my lunch.>

Benefits to what - health, running, sex life, toe nail growth? What to
really have some fun? Post this to the Science.med.nutrition and stand
back watch the dialog. It's useless dialog but you get to hear from the
flat earth people. Chocolate skim milk by the way, is a good recovery
    drink.

About a gallon a week - my main beverage at meals except for OJ at
breakfast; post-run recovery. Benefits: Hydration after run, protein,
calcium, vitamins. I'll frequently use slimfast on the road (after races
or long run when it'll be more than 30-45 min before I get home) for
same benefits since it doesn't need refrigeration. Cocoa (does some have
milk in it) for cold weather hydration / thaw out. I like the milky
taste for recovery after drinking fruity sports drinks. Cons: regular
milk needs refrigeration but there's other ways of getting it, like
slimfast or packages that don't need refrigeration.

  7. All soy, all the time for me now. Love "8th Continent" Light
Vanilla...good stuff, works great on cereal, which I eat a ton of.

  8. Many adults lose some to all their capacity to
    digest milk products, especially non-Europeans.
This might show up as indigestion, etc. when
pushing your body hard, like running.
Some people have no problems, but if you do
    experiment with reducing milk intake.
