  1. Hi, my first post, soo *wave* anyways I have a flat bar road bike ( giant crx 3 ) and im looking to get a "proper" road bike for under AU$2000

Can anyone out there recommed a good bike ??
I would preferbly like a 105 group set

Another question how well does the 105 compare against a camp veloce ?
and would i be able to buy a bike with camp set for under $2000 ?

    Cheers

There should be plenty 105 equipped bikes around at the moment especially with end of financial year sales on.

I bought a Felt F70 for AU$1599 (altough by the time I added shoes, pump, spares, computer, etc, it was over $1900), a couple of months ago, and love it. Thoroughly recommend it. It's one of the few 105 equipped triples around (I have hills nearby). If you happen to be in Melbournes eastern suburbs, I got my bike from the Bicycle superstore in Ferntree Gully.
If I had the extra dollars at the time, I would've got the F60, a 30 speed Ultegra (just under AU$2000).

NOTE: If you're after more responces regarding where to buy, it might be a good idea to repost this in the Australian forum.

  3. Hello,

    Just bought a nice Panasonic DX-3000, a 1986 model, for $25.00 US.

It seems like a very nice ride, I'll be out on it tomorrow morning.

    Cheers!
