  1. What is the best colour tint for sunglasses when biking?

I notice that when I bike on very sunny days that the redness of the sun
almost blinds me when it pokes through the trees.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Micheal

I really like amber lenses. After my first pair, all of my sunglasses have
been tinted some shade of brown or orange. Polarized are also nice, but I
find that the glare reduction can do weird things to depth perception, as
    often reflections are visual cues.

I have many different replacement lenses for my Rudys, but the one that
seems to work best is blue (at least in the woods). On the road, red
    seems to work best.

I like mirrored pink lenses the best. The pink
keeps the trail visible when the light drops, the
mirror reflects back sun glare. The pink was very
helpful in the fall when falling leaves made the trail
hard to pick out and the sun kept disappearing
behind the clouds. Make sure they are vented.

Get a pair with interchangeable lenses. Dark tint for during the daytime
when the sun is strongest. Red/Amber lenses for the late afternoon/early
evening when the sun is starting to set and isn't as strong. Yellow/clear
lenses for evening rides when there is no sun but you still need eye
    protection.

I use a pair of Rudy Project Graal SX that does all that.

I like amber lenses for most things except when riding on trails with
dry grass along the sides. The light tan grass and light tan dirt get
hard to distinguish with amber lenses. Hard to stay on the trail.
I use neutral gray these days.

Neutral gray seems to be the most commonly used tint in mine. Adidas
Evil Eye. Can't decide if they look cool or vaguely like welding
googles but it doesn't matter. They're the best biking sunnies that
I've had. No fog, secure on the head, and have withstood numerous
calamities and come with a second set of amber lenses.
