DA 10 question

No, just put it on w/o modification including the front der(9s one will
work fine). A chainwatcher may help but a new front compact der is not
required.

Mya want to look at Chorus/Centaur to prevent having to do the 'sti
busted, gotta replace' thing.

Its well documented that you have complained about DA 9 sti levers breaking
within the "warranty period", e.g., warranty period is 3 years for DA/2
years all other shimano, and thus, needing to be replaced by Shimano. So
the question is are you seeing alot of the DA 10 sti levers breaking down
and needing to be replaced under warranty?

Its well documented that you have complained about DA 9 sti levers
breaking within the "warranty period", e.g., warranty period is 3
years for DA/2 years all other shimano, and thus, needing to be
replaced by Shimano. So the question is are you seeing alot of the
DA 10 sti levers breaking down and needing to be replaced under
warranty?

Most of the Shimano-9 levers we see that break are due to crashes, and some
need the rubber band solution, but most are unworkable. I'm guessing
Shimano didn't build crash protection into their levers. Haven't seen a
Shimano 10 come back yet.

Have seen three break under warranty, DA 10s. All replaced quickly by
shimano, USA. Different gig than the 'small lever causes the big lever
to travel' thing with DA/ultegra 9s. These just stopped clicking.

No questions asked by shimano, USA...replaced quickly.

I have no issue with how shimano STI works, just wish I could take an
hour to fix them for a customer. Having them not be able to ride
because something with a 3 yr warranty just stops working irks me. It's
akin to having a new car's tranny just stop working.
Sti seems to be the weak link about shimano. I like the feel and
ergonomics of shimano 10s, in spite of the 'large' raygun look, they
work well but just should NOT fail. Geezzz, these sets are $400+
afterall.
