    Depends on the distance you run. Sprinters need a much higher protein
    content than marathoners, though they too need more carbs than what
    Atkins is pushing.

    Sprinters can burn up to 20% of their fast twitch glycogen in a 200 meter
    race - they *have* to keep fueled up with carbs. For a similar reason, you
    want to stay aerobic when doing long distance races because going anaerobic
    even briefly burns up copious amounts of glycogen.
