I work with kids, several of whom are low income/poverty level. One of my clients lives in the
projects and has a Pacific bike, yeah, yeah it's a pos to everyone here, but where he lives, it's
not a bad bike. Now it's already gotten rippped off once, when he found it all the cables were cut,
the stickers were removed and the top tube was dented.
Now I can fix the mechanical problems, the dent's gonna stay, it's not too bad but I need some way
to ID the bike as his so if/when it gets ripped again he can get it back. Paint and stickers are out
because they can be removed. Dremeling might work but I wanted to see if anyone here ever customized
a bike with graphics/lettering. I just fear the dremeling will look a little special, as in special
ed. This kid is already a bit of a target (not too hard to be one of those in the projects,
especially if you're not quite right) and I don't want to make his bike look like [censored] and give kids
one more reason to target him.
Any ideas?
