Dear Group,
having lurked around here let me finally introduce myself. I'm 37 years
young and have been doing quite some long distance running in a former
life 15 years ago. Back then my PB where 9:00 on 3k, 16:10 on 5k, 36:00
on 10k, and 1:20 in a half marathon. After years of pleasure I started
running again last year, but not really with a training regimen. I ran
several half marathons, the last one in 1:32. Finally I ran my first
marathon in Big Sur this year and (don't ask me how) managed to finish
in 3:11. Only after the fact did I learn that that was a qualifying
time for Boston, so I'm determined to run that one in 2006.
What leads up to my question - yeah, I've seen all kinds of training
plans for 10 or 16 weeks, but what I am really looking for is input for
the development of a long term training plan, leading up of course to
Boston but not ending there. I finally would like to try to make my
training kind of organized.
So, what inputs do you use?
Thanks for sharing, Chris
PS. I just moved from CA to Denmark and will run the Broloppet (bridge
run) from Copenhagen to Malmoe on June, 16. Anybody else?
