cordless computer - sleeper?

Looking at cycle computers - used to have a corded Cateye with cadence but
it left with the old bike (way too complicated to take off and I don't need
cadence)

Found one locally at Mountain Equipment Coop (www.mec.ca) for $22CAD (about
$17US) that's cordless!

It's a Chinese off brand but MEC covers warranties if it craps out and this
model actually got an Explore Magazine gear award for 2004.

This seems like the best kept secret in cycle computers. (cordless CatEye's
were three times the price locally)
