Just curious if anyone here is planning on going to Cycle-Expo in Montreal this mid-September. I
suspect there will not be much of a Bent presence beyond a few companies like Burley,
Questzal...maybe Maxarya.

of Ottawa, but...who knows...maybe both? Thanks, Barry Davidson "There is more to life than

To: Barry & All just go to the BTAC website for more info than you'd ever need to know re:
www.btac.orgThe move to Montreal is due to the whole SARS thing in Toronto happening when BTAC was planning on
doing the show in Toronto. Having the show in Montreal will be one big love-in for Montreal based
Pro-Cycle/Babac who tend to own everything connected to DF cycling. One interesting thing is this
year there will be a demo ride area in Bromont, Bromont (I believe) is the Mtb test grounds for
Pro-Cycle and formerly used for Olympic cycling events....including an Olympic Veledrome. Supposed
to be 500 exhibitors at the Bromont....there is supposed to be a newly paved (downhill track) and
this might be a cool place for a bent to smoke a NORCO....bet that would get DF makers thinking. The
BTAC "Cycle-Expo" show is Canada's version of Interbike...except it is limited to people in the
bicycle trade. No way NORCO wants the consumer to discover that $3,000.00 MTB they just bought only
costs $175.00 to make. I won't know if I am going for a few weeks yet. Am building a 3 way
suspension (folding) E-Powered MTB with enough torque to climb a tree. I would love to see a greater
Bent presence at the Cycle-Expo and Quebec is more open to bents than most regions of Canada. Note
Quebec ranks as the 3rd largest # of cyclists on the planet per capita behind Denmark and the
Netherlands. I suspect this is because no one in Quebec can drive a car after having the driver
licence cancelled for awful driving and now everyone is riding bikes.
