Bottle on a Commuting Bike

Maybe use a Camelback, that way you can carry more liquid than a bottle.

My hybrid came with no place for a rear bottle (I am small and the geometry of the frame does not leave much space) so I used a couple of adjustable hose clamps to attach a water bottle cage. Works fine if you don't mind the look.

That's exactly what I did. I used the hose clamps to clamp a water bottle cage to my seat post. I even painted the clamps black to match the seat post. Works like a champ. The only problem may be locating a wate bottle cage with the "wings" to clamp on like this: http://www.nordicgroup.us/cageboss.htm

For my Trek I bough the Minoura attachment for the seat post. It was under $10.
