I cycled off to the doc's this morning for the regular weigh-in on the long and winding road that is the route from being fatbirdonabike to being slightlypodgybirdonabike. The magazines in the waiting room now has a growing collection of cycling magazines I can read whilst I wait for my appointment. Quite thoughtful of them to put them there :-)
As I walked up to the reception desk, I was a tad pink as I'd really set of quite late this morning, (so inspired by the sprint stages of Le Tour, I won my own personal green jersey competition) and the receptionist asked if I'd like to get a drink of water. How kind!
I really did like the cycling magazines touch :-)
Cheers, helen s

When I had a spate of illnesses a few years ago (stress related I think) I used to take my own cycling magazines to read whilst waiting. At my doctors once needs to book 9 days in advance to be ill or turn up at the daily first come first served surgery in the afternoons. Sometimes this means a hour or so wait. Anyways on two occasions I put my magazine on the doctors desk whilst he examined my symptoms and clean forgot to take them with me. Hopefully someone in Shenstone or Windsor House surgeries is smiling like you at the cycling mags.
