Has anyone tried this stuff? I haven't bought it yet. It sounds
interesting, but often interesting-sounding foods are not that interesting
in the mouth.

make a good one. It's not bad. Better than 100% whole wheat pasta, but not as good as
plain old regular pasta. Needs to be cooked a little bit longer than
regular pasta. I tried it out on my kids...the one who insists on
eating her pasta with just a little butter didn't eat as much as she
normally does and said she didn't like it...the one who ate it with
pesto didn't seem to notice a difference, and ate two helpings. I
thought it was ok, but not as good as regular pasta. We tried the thin
spaghetti. The marketing is interesting -- it's not marketed as low carb pasta.
Rather, it's billed as being more nutritious...additional protein, fiber
and omega-3 fatty acids...I think they add some whole grains and
legumes...flaxseed for the Omega-3? I don't have the nutritional info
in front of me, so I don't know how it stacks up to "low carb" pasta. -

I posted the ingredients a couple of months ago, which I got from their
website. But I still haven't tried it. -aem -

don't cause a spike in my blood sugar. WalMart no longer carries them, but
other stores do.

I buy the Angel Hair style and I really like it. I cook it until it's
soft, though. If you cook it al dente, it's a weird texture. I do not
like any of the other shapes. I do not think this is a "low carb"
pasta as much as it is a "higher protein" pasta. Dreamfeilds isn't bad
either but that's a different thing. -
barilla plus is not low carb, but I did buy it because of the flax seed to
start serving my family. for myself- the dreamfields is good, and I'm
weighing it carefully to not overeat. It stretches out a nice seafood
stir-fry, yum!"chris2good" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

the differnce in flavor could have been something I was looking for, not
something anyone else would notice. We've had two boxes of the Pente. Once we cooked it and added fresh
parmesan and olive oil, the other time we had it mixed it in a bean salad.
It's something we'll buy again. -
Tried it (had good coupons). It was fine.
