They're Polish and I think they are made that size and shape specifically to
fit on buns, thus the "ballpark" in the name, to be eaten at baseball games.
This is in Michigan, we have a lot of people here with Polish ancestry. I
have never been crazy about hot dogs, I think they are the most insipid of
sausages, these are so much better. Bratwursts are excellent, too.
