  1. So where was everyone on this beautiful Melb day? No real wind to speak of, and perfect temp.

Only 3 of us, DaveB, BT and myself.

I was running late this morning, and thought I might have to play catch up, but caught the guys just as they were setting off

Decided I'd have a crack at a PB on Passo di warrandyte, but fell short by 36 sec (12:56), really died on that last rise. No PB for Dave who was checking out some smoke.

I decided to take Clintons Rd, while Dave and BT went straight on to the caf, lots of horse floats as per usaul. Not sure why, but I decided I'd head up to Kinglake, and really struggled on the climb as my lower back was killing me, and legs felt heavy.

140km for the day, and my legs are still aching

Must have been something in the air, because I really struggled today
too. Average speed was down to 24.6 (over 26 last week), way off PB's
and just felt really flat. Oh well I guess that's just the way it goes,
felt great last week (must have been all that cold fog).

was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea:

I felt that way Thursday and Friday. Flew home lastnight with the
tailwind, after having struggled in the morning. Perhaps the answer
there, to the question "what was in the air", was the air itself.
Damn the atmosphere! Causes me so much trouble, for such little gain.

I rode Saturday with a friend up Mt Buller. Then we went 4x4ing in the
area checking out winter access to some areas we want to go
snowboarding at (Mt Magdala). Wow, I want a XC MTB (again), there are
heaps of tracks up there I could really enjoy. http://tinyurl.com/ao4t5

Luckily it was ok just before the drop before the first climb (who knows
what it will be like next week).

Point your bike at the boulie and come play ITTs! No need to worry about
roads, the boulie is _always_ bumpy 😉..

    cheers,
