  1. I want to buy a bike frame to build a decent road bike but I don't
have a $1000 to spend on a frame as the bicycle stores are quoting me.
Is there a shop on line the someone would know of that sells new or
used 3 or 4 pound frames for an affordable price?

Im starting to think your right. Aluminum frames seem easyer to get
but some like some old Aluminum Peugeot bikes seem to be a little
heavy. Im a complete Newbie to cycling so Is there an easyer way to
know what aluminum bikes are the lightest without going down to
countless bike shops and lifting them to see?

It's usually quite a bit less expensive to buy a complete bike and modify it
as need be. Plus, that way you get to know how it rides, and sizing isn't a
crapshoot (providing you find a shop that's known to do a good job sizing
    people).
