  1. My trusty Silva Type 4 sighting compass looks like it's on the way out.
It now develops a large bubble whenever it gets to about Corbett hight.

I'm now looking for a replacement - it has to be a sighting compass, and
I'd prefer to work in mils rather than degrees. Looking at the Silva
web site, all the compasses pictured are graduated in degrees. Are
there any mils graduated Silva compasses still available anywhere?

    Hi there,

I'm not sure whether this one will do the trick?

    http://www.silva.se/outdoor/products/comp_exp54.htm

It's a Silva sighting compass, but I'm not sure on the mils point.
I've got one and would go and check, but for some reason I can't just
    remember where I've put it!

Anyway, it's a lovely compass. HTH.

    Best wishes,
