Everybody, I suppose, is too engrossed in the Tour de France to pay much attention to the action in
the Giro d'Italia Femminile.
But a USA or OZ victory is not entirerly out of the question.
There are a couple of USA riders, Amber Neben and Kim Bruckner, and an OZ rider, Olivia Gollan,
within around 6 minutes of Edita Pucinskaite of Lithuania (Michela Fanini Record Box) who is
currently Maglia Rosa.
And in a race where anything can happen, Pucinskaite could still be unseated.
La Luperini is also around 6 minutes back, and with 4 victories back to back a few years ago, still
cannot be counted out.
Hhhhhmmmm.... Yes I miss the classic battles between Mama Italia and Madame France of the late 80s
both at the Giro Donne and La Grande Boucle Feminine
