And in a race where anything can happen, Pucinskaite could still be unseated.

La Luperini is also around 6 minutes back, and with 4 victories back to back a few years ago,
still cannot be counted out.

Hhhhhmmmm.... Yes I miss the classic battles between Mama Italia and Madame France of the late 80s
both at the Giro Donne and La Grande Boucle Feminine

Regina Schleicher made it Three in a Row today at the Giro d'Italia Femminile.

JESI - Terza vittoria consecutiva al Giro donne per la 29enne velocista tedesca Regina Schleicher
(Chirio-Forno d'Asolo) nella sesta tappa sulle colline anconetane di Jesi. Annullati diversi
tentativi portati nel finale da Luperini prima e Cappellotto poi, il gruppo si è presentato compatto
sulla linea, regolato dalla Schleicher sulla Stahurskaja e l'australiana Olivia Gollan. Il tentativo
di fuga più consistente si era registrato a trenta chilometri dalla conclusione, con la stessa
Luperini, Bronzini, Parietti, l'australiana James, l'americana Cowden e l'ucraina Kachalka, riprese
a dieci chilometri dall'arrivo.

Oggi non ha preso il via la trentenne russa Svetlana Boubnenkova, vincitrice uscente del Giro,
febbricitante. Domani doppio appuntamento con le due semitappe in linea Gabicce Mare-Cesenatico
(44,2 km) e Cento-Cento (45 km), entrambe totalmente pianeggianti.

In maglia rosa sempre la lituana Edita Pucinskaite.

Well it is really a pity that Regina was so far down on GC before she started winning, but she does
now in fact have the Maglia Ciclamino for leading the Points Classification.

But having lost 0:30, 3:30, 11:30 and 22:30 respectively in the Prologue and Stages 1 - 3, the
maglia Rosa is obviously well out of her reach.

The stages where she lost substantial time were admittedly mountainous and/or run in attrocious
weather. It was strange that the race hit the mountains so early, but at least it was the same for
everybody.
