  1. alrighty, then. TODAY is Day 1.

This morning I put Splenda in my coffee for the first time. Not too
    bad. pretty ok, in fact.
Since my coffee cup is 16 oz and Im used to putting a quarter cup of
sugar in it...this alone is BIG. (that's the only coffee I drink-the BIG
    one in the morning)

A pot of eggs is boiling on the stove. Im not a breakfast eater (oh
silly me..I mean I WASNT a breakfast eater). When they're HB, I'll have
    a couple.

I dont remember eating anything before two in the afternoon in....years.
Everything you can do wrong is what Ive done---all my life. No
breakfast, something carby around two, meat and heavy duty carbs (rice,
pasta, potatoes) in BIG servings for dinner and something gooey and
    sweet before bed.

I was reading about carb addiction last night....and hello, my name is
Wild Irish Rose and Im a carboholic.

    ~WIR~

  2. welcome to the group rose..................you will get lots of help
    here.

The more you write, the more I wonder if we're twins separated at birth -
    lol.

I'm also not a breakfast eater even though I know it's important to eat in
    the morning. Pre-LC I didn't eat until mid- or late-afternoon, then didn't
stop until bedtime, usually having a rich snack within an hour before bed.
Not too long ago I started putting a tablespoon of dry roasted unsalted
peanuts in a shot glass with a tablespoon of roasted sunflower seeds, and
"popping" that in the morning. Hey, it was better than nothing! And it
"worked" in that my mornings became much more productive as my body demanded
activity. Some days - like today - I don't eat until early afternoon, and I
    can definitely feel the difference.

And still the weight is falling off - I see/feel differences in my body
    nearly every single day.

When I was on Atkins Induction, Rose, my favorite (and regular) lunch was
two cups of shredded lettuce, half a tomato (chopped), a handful of olives,
    and a can of tuna.

Mix mix mix! Cover with two tablespoons of Ranch (or your preferred)
dressing. Easy, good for you, low-carb, and tasty.

    Geez! 1/4 cup????? <lol>
You are going to lose weight fast!

Splenda IMHO is better than Nutri-sweet.
    Safer too.

Soft boiled is yummy too if you like loose yolks.
I can give you a simple recipe (quick too!) for a pan steamed egg that
    is wunnderful.

Giving up the before bed snacking was my biggest challenge. :-( Still
is. I want to munch something right now, but won't. :-P

Eating your largest meal for lunch is often a good idea.

I've been where you are! I feel better now. :-)
