How can you say that? Look at all the lies and abuse Vandeman hands
out - he is a "typical mountain biker"!

I know. But it's TRUE, which is the funniest thing of all.

For certain carefully selected values of true, and ignoring equivalent
and often greater truths about other activities.

Mike tells the truth about mountain biking in the same way Don Black
tells the truth about black people. Old-fashioned bigotry from an
    old-fashioned troll.

It isn't even a very good FAQ by any standards. I'd hardly call it the
definitive truth. You omitted data straight away. You forgot that one
reason why people mountainbike is for exercise. No mention of that.
Still, that'd be consistant with all your other work... omitting
sensible and relevant data that doesn't agree or reinforce your
    "logical" conclusions...LOL!

You completely missed the point. That is not a reason to MOUNTAIN BIKE, because
you can get exercise by walking. It doesn't require a bike.

There is a differens between walking and mountain biking. You train
    different muscles.

Can you please explain why some choise to go mountain biking wasn't
for exercise because you can also walk? Otherwise those stupid mount
    bikers doesn't understand it.

Ok mountain biking is strenious (I never done it, but it think it is)
so i could be a reason. But walking is much better as mountain biking
and it is less damaging for the enviroment and les dangeruos so their
should be no reason for mountain biking. 'ridewestieride' wrote about

With supporters like that, who needs critics?

.No, I didn't miss the point. You did. One doesn't have to walk to get
.exercise either. However, one can CHOOSE to walk for exercise, just as
.one can choose to bike for exercise. DUH!

Because you can WALK, there's no reason to mountain bike, in order to get
exercise. You have to come up with another reason to mountain bike (hint: there
    aren't any good reasons).

But by your logic there isn't any good reason to walk either. YOU'RE
going to have to come up with another reason.

How about you stay at home ( and avoid using ecologically unsound
transport to reach your favourite walking place) and lift weights or use
a treadmill in your livingroom to exercise. Looking at it that way,
there is no good reason to go walking in nature either. After-all if
you don't need to bike in nature in order to exercise, then you
definitely don't need to walk in nature in order to exercise. Walk at
    home and save nature.

Heck, maybe you could even put a nice National Geographic rainforest
video on the TV and experience nature while on the treadmill?

Everything that you stand for hinges on trying to reduce the impact of
humans on nature. I guess that's why I'm so entertained by your
fanatical defence of walkers rights, which by your own logic, you should
be against just as much as you are against MTBing.

I love crazy people. They make me feel so... sane.

I don't need a reason, since I'm not promoting it. YOU need reasons to mountain
bike, because you are promoting and advocating it.

You are just trying to hide the fact that you can't think of any good reason to
