  1. I've read a number of the past posts about Altura bags. Unfortunately
most of the online sites have very little information about the bags.
    So, several questions:

Does the manufacturer have a website that provides detailed
information? If so, what is it, I searched unsuccessfully.

Can anybody compare their "Workstation Briefcase" to the Carradice
equivalent. I've had the latter for a couple of years and it's showing
    considerable wear.

Any recommendation on where to buy it to ship to the US - if there
    isn't a US distributor (I couldn't find one).

    Many thanks.

I just bought a new Altura bag yesterday.
The new expanding post-pack bag. Nice for a road bike which does
    not have a rack.

I bought it in the new Cycle Surgery shop in Holborn.
They gave me a goody bag, with a bottle of Finish Line and White Lightning,
    plus a keyring etc.
They have a 10% discount postcard in the bag, valid till the end of April.

In the bag was their latest catalogue, with a listing of the Altura bags.
What do you need to know re. the briefcase pannier?

  3. What I most want is their website (assuming they have one) where I can
find more details about the bag. The information from the cycle shops
    is a bit sparse.

    www.zyro.co.uk if I'm not wrong

  5. Results:

After getting more information I bought an Altura Orkney bag from
Cyclesense in the UK. They shipped it to the US for about $25. It's
just about perfect for what I want - serving as a briefcase that has
lots of pockets for "things" and good protection for my laptop. The
attachment to my bike rack is much better than expected.

    I'm a happy customer.
