My LBS has just replaced the rear hub on my 2005 Giant OCR3 with Shimano 105... Der. is Sora 8-spd, and the original cassette was replaced.
Since this was done, the jockey wheel runs into the cassette in combination of large rear/small front, and small rear/large front.
The B adjustment makes no difference...the derailleur does not move at all.
Everything else is OK...high/low alignment is correct, gears shift OK, but the jockey wheel is being damaged by the constant contact with the cassette.

My guess is that either the new cassette is larger or a new chain was fitted and it's too long. Chain only needs to be long enough to work with large front + large rear (but make sure it is this long). Shortening the chain will in effect pull the jockey wheel away from the cassette.

your comments make sense to me. The original cassette was re-used...(25x13), and the chain does not "hang down" in low-tension gearing. The chain is most likely the culprit though!
