Website review request

Cant say its anything to do with html but on design basis, I'd be tempted to
stick some of the pictures at the top of the page to draw the viewer in.
Otherwise on a partially sized browser, people will miss the best bit of the
site...

Anything in lilac has been worked on, anything with white background is
awaiting TLC.

The pictures are relatively large and so I have put just one picture at
top with link to walks.

It takes a little time for picture to appear.

I'm a tad concerned we have over done the pictures on a single page as
we have tested on fast connections.

The idea of keeping the text at the top, was to give pictures time to
load if person accessing has a slow connection.

Does anyone know how to sequence how the browser loads the pictures, as
it doesn't seem to work down the page.

Yes, it helps if you ensure that they are small in size and optimised for 76
dpi resolution. You could thumbnail the large quantities of pictures which
means they load quickly and if people dont want to dgo there they dont have
to. I would have thought most people looking at walking sites would want
good pictures and fast connections are not that uncommon now.
