Another Chorus freehub rebuild .... ala Suzy?

  1. 9/10 speed, 21st Century model.

    Hub had exhibited friction unrelated to
    "play" lockring location on the axle.
    Upon dismantling,
    Outer (right) freehub cart bearing is really grindy- I'm going
    to replace it. To avoid hassling the regs here,
    I combed the archive. I'm inspired by Suzy Jackson's intrepid
    technique(s) but I guess the outer bearing is nowhere near
    as hard to get out as the inner? Luckily, the inner,
    pawl-side bearing feels totally smooth.

    Any more advice about this replacement?
    Others who've done it?
    Unfortunately the Campag Freehub instructions
    leave this subject untouched.
    Do I need a J-tool or is tapping out OK?

    Apparently it is a
    24mm OD, 12mm ID, 6mm thick - SKF 61901
