if a fork is listed as "disc only" does that mean it wouldn't work with my V
brake set up?
or just that it has disc bosses on it...

No it doesn't, it just means you're going to have get a new set of front brakes at the same time :-). Maybe Avid mechs.

Yes disc only fits,no way for V brales to mount.

ok, thanks, that's what I thought. Well that certain limits my
search....Don't you hate it???
I had to search for old, old Fox forks because all the 2005 models,
with the exception of the XC models, are disc-only.
well, xc rider here so no problem there!
I started a spread sheet last night... what a lot of price variation when
you start looking around...!!!

When I said the XC models, I was referring to the F80X and F100X models,
both with Terralogic, and both costing $775 retail. IMO, a fork that costs
as much as a good entry-level hardtail is a little extreme...
