Cleaning Road Shoes

I guess this isn't what you are looking for, but how about tossing them and getting a new pair and taking better care of the new ones.

OR maybe stop sniffing them heheheh.

Clean them out thoroughly with warm soapy water and a soft brush....take out the insoles and give them a good going over too. Leave it all out to dry outside DO NOT PUT IN DRYER!!

You may have to repeat if still on the nose.

Always wear socks when riding.

As long as they aren't real leather, warm water and detergent should work fine. Take out the innersoles and wash them seperately. Wouldn't use a dryer or heat though; just let them dry sitting or maybe out in the sun if you're in a hurry.

Sorry Ed, didn't see your post before I fired. At least we agree here....good to see the same cleaning advice coming from both hemispheres.

thanks all - and I agree that air drying would be advisable .

Agree w/the above, but I ussually trash the old insoles and put in a new pair of drugstore-brand ones...makes a nice improvement in comfort.
