  1. ๐Ÿ˜• I have a road/trail bike and I keep getting the same puncture in the rear tube. It takes the form of about 1-2cm of perforations on the INSIDE of the tube running lengthways. I've changed the tube, the wheel and replaced the wheel tape all to no avail. Has anyone suffered similar or got any advice? Cheers

Are you using the same tire?

    Yes, same tyre

I had a tire that was punturing tubes. It had an almost invisible piece of wire imbeded in it,probably from an aoto tire, that would pucture the tire after several mile of riding.
I had to put the tire under a bright light to find it.
Just a thought but that may not be your problem

  5. You might also want to check the tire for a crack on the inside of the tire. When the tire rolls, the crack opens and then closes, pinching the tube and causing a flat. I had this happen on my road bike after hitting a pothole. It cut the inside of the tire causing my tire to pinch the tube. Ended up having to buy a new tire.

  6. Thanks guys for pointing me in th right direction. The rim of the tire had worn exposing the internal wire. This would have sliced a clean cut into the tube were it not for the thread wound around it - hence the perforations. Mystery solved I hope - new tyre needed. Many thanks again

It helps to have inate ability. I fortunately was born with it.

  10. switch to folding tyres, they have a kevlar bead and this is less likely to cause this problem than wire ons....

    Cheers
