Hi-
6th day of induction here, doing pretty good. Less than 20 carbs a day, more
like 12 or 15 a day.
I have a question, can I have vodka with club soda while induction? It is
zero carbs. If I do will it hurt my weight loss goal?

Alcohol in any form, LC or not, is metabolized by your body before fat. So
while you have alcohol in your system, you're not burning fat for energy.JS said:

Technically, alcohol is not permitted on Atkins induction. I would be
more concerned about the possibility of it increasing your appetite, as
it can have that effect on some people. If you are doing OK, and
could limit yourself to one drink once awhile, you'd probably be ok.
But one drink can lead to more and if you;re in the wrong environment,
like a bar, can quickly lead to eating foods you should not. I don't
think it's worth it for the minimum 2 weeks on induction. -

pounds. I have "cheated" with coffee (not permitted on induction)... I
used to have a 4 cup a day coffee habit, this morning I had two cups of
50/50.Anyways, I'm going the whole two weeks without booze. I plan on
celebrating my 15th day with a nice chilled double vodka shot. -
Yeah I will cut back on the vodka, in 6 days I have lost 5 pounds. Pretty
happy with myself so far. I guess it may have been 7 pounds without a few
drinks. I am not an alcoholic, just like a wind down drink at the end of the
day.5lbs. is enough to motivate me more. I am not that overweight I don't
think. I know I need to loose about 10 more lbs, most of my size 10 clothes
still fit, just not as comfortably as they did 10 -15 pounds ago. Being 5
foot 10 inches tall unfortunately has helped hide some of the weight gain.
I am ready to be thin again though, it felt much better. Thanks for your feedback.
