One of Michael's friends has a Raleigh Max 26" wheel bike (fashion
victim full-sus). Aside from being made from solid neutronium,
judging by the weight, it has an unusual configuration of front fork:
a standard 1" steerer with a plate above and below, and the sus fork
legs running through the plate. The upshot is that you can't turn the
steering through more than about 60 degrees because the tops of the
fork legs foul on the frame. How [censored] is that? Oh, and it has "SIS"
gears, pressed-steel parallelograms and all. And twist grip shifting.
Cheap, though, apparently. About a third less than we paid for
Michael's Giant Boulder
