Are different rices different carbs?
We usually eat Basmati rice. It is listed in the GI diet as low in carbs.
I can't find it listed as separate to just rice.
Anyone know?
Thanks, Liz

Are you sure of your terms?
Carbs and Glycemic Index?
Rice isn't low in carbohydrates.... generally medium or somewhat high.
It is alleged that Basmati rice has a low Glycemic Index (GI), but that
isn't the same as "Low Carb".

You can get differences here:
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/cgi-bin/nut_search_new.pl
That site doesn't say "Basmati" so you'll have to pick from brown or white,
long grain to short, etc.
