Nice job, Robert. Isn't bamboo just an amazing material? I
spent two years in Korea in the mid seventies and Seoul was just
beginning to put up skyscrapers. The most incredible thing was that
the construction scaffoldings that went up thirty and forty stories
were made of bamboo !

They were still doing the same thing in southern China as recently as
the mid-90's. Amazing to think about (and to imagine the load on
those lower "stems of grass"😉. Eeeeek.
