I don't see anything wrong with eating half a taco. If, however, it was a
craving, that might be a problem. I like tacos and make them low carb
these days, I just don't eat six at a time, anymore, I don't think I could
if I wanted to, either. .

I dont think anyone is having a problem with the 1/2 taco per se. Its
the having the 1/2 taco in a fast food joint. Like the example of
drinking a soda in a bar. Its not the soda anyone is talking about. Is
the fact that you went to a bar to have it.

I think if I decided I was going to eat half a taco, I might go to a ff
place rather than thaw the meat, cook and season it, shred the lettuce, buy
a new jar of salsa, shred a little cheese, chop a tomato, etc. Easier and
    cheaper, besides just 'fast.'
If we are having tacos for dinner, I'd do all that, wrap it in a low carb
tortilla and have one for lunch for a couple of days, also. The only
reason I have for not eating a taco out is we only have one place that makes
them here and I don't like the way theirs are seasoned.
I don't think ff places are a problem, they are convenient, sometimes they
taste good, and can be relatively cheap. The problem is only if a carb
addicted person is getting cravings for the carbs.
If I was on liquids or pureed stuff for a long time I don't think I would
choose a taco for my first solid food, I'm not sure what I would pick, but
whatever it was, I'd probably choose something I wouldn't have leftovers
from so I could pick something else for my next solid food. Variety is
usually a 'good thing' in a diet.

I go to subway for a salad.. I actualy go to Hardees and Mc Donalds for
Burgers. Mc Donalds has good salads as well but there ranch dressing is not
low carb. If I made it to taco bell I would have a taco salad hold the taco
    chips strands.

Well- after an extended fast your body isn't ready for meat anyway- best to
start with a fruit day, then a steamed veggie day, then complex carbs, then
    proteins, then dairy.
You don't just jump back into what will be your 'regular' diet- I'm
surprised no one mentioned this to the OP.

  5. The OP is under a doctor's supervision. She has not been fasting, simply
    eating liquid or pureed food.

The problem is that she was bragging about how she had filled her
stomach after consuming only half a taco. What would have been different
if it had taken three or four tacos to fill her stomach? She was, after
all, in a fast food outlet.

Aside from the choice of a taco for someone who is supposedly seeking a
news and healthier way of life, the very fact that the first thing she
did after being allowed solid foods, was to FILL her stomach, indicates
a failure on its way to being a main feature.
